I agree with the other comments. The town cannot cope with the current population & the existing permissions to build over 2,000 homes will cripple an already broken town. Until the current traffic, transportation, healthcare...... Etc are dealt with there should be no new development!

This a small town and the road are now overcrowded with traffic and no parking they should be building a new town in Essex
Essex would never overcrowd a small historic town like Bishop's Stortford Herts

Bishop's Stortford does not have the amenities (gp's, schools, roads, car parks etc) to cope with the rise in population we have had already. The town will come to a complete stand still when the new housing is completed & will anyone be held to account then?

I do not believe the existing infrastructure can cope with this expansion and there are completely insufficient measures suggested in the plan.

This is a ridiculous proposal. The infrastructure of BS cannot possibly accommodate another thousand houses. We have taken our fair share with very significant developments to the north of the town and plans for the railway siding. his plan was inappropriate in 2012 and remains so today.

The distribution of houses should be more spread out and a clear plan of infrastructure must be demonstrated to show that it will accommodate any future development.

Stupid putting new houses out of main town where they would be 100% reliant on cars. All the land north of pig lane is much more suitable, walking distance to town / train station, the stortford bypass should be completed as a priority too - i.e. It should carry on south of Thorley street to near golf course / a120 west intersection. This would create ample infill housing too

This area should be conserved within the current green belt, not allocated for either commercial or domestic development. It is not suitable for a future school , as this would increase traffic congestion and pollution, also under the present flight path for Stansted airport, which likely to increase flights in the future. The southern by pass has already detracted from the sanctity of the countryside.

Bishop's Stortford's amenities like roads, doctors, schools are at breaking point. It's almost impossible to get a doctor's appointment and the roads are jammed all the time. Firstly, greater expansion without putting in amenities is ridiculous. Secondly, lots of people (including myself) use this green land for walking and getting away from all the bustle of the main town. People need space - you can't just keep expanding (because of some people's greed!) and think it won't have a negative effect on everyone else! If you want to expand, pay the extra money (out of your profit for once!) to put in the facilities needed to make it work - so we don't all have to live in a rat run scrambling for resources and space!

We are losing too much green belt land. This is a terrible legacy to leave our children.

This area is used by walkers and wildlife it must stay. The town cannot support more people, until:- more Doctors, Dentists, Schools and parking in and around the town are provided.

protect our town! no more building on the green belt. Develop inside the town only. Traffic and amenities can't cope (schools/ doctors etc). This is a lovely market town that's losing it's character

Too many houses, not enough infrastructure. I have lived here all my life and watched the beauty of this town disappear under housing.
