SACAP has become an organization bent on taking away Architect's rights, using overwrought bureaucracy, which prevents growth, and use that time-wasting strategy to extort them out of their money in the form of fees.

I do not believe the council adds value to the profession, other than administering subscriptions.

I am very saddened by this attitude that has pervaded our society,
I believe that this council adds very little value to our profession.

The focus of SACAP should be on serving the interests of the architectural profession. There is very little evidence that they do anything other than administer subscriptions.

On an administrative level, I have been battling for years with incompetent staff, misallocations of annual fees, lack of feedback to any queries made, and a general lack of knowledge about the services they are supposed to provide.

SACAP regressed to "no value" and manage their affairs with incompetence.

I would also like to add: failure to protect the title/naming rights of the word 'architect'. The IT industry has freely made use of the title to describe positions in their own profession

If SACAP is found guilty of any of these infringements, then there is grounds for the dissolve of the SACAP board.

8482 SACAP Members @ R2640 Annual Fees = R22 392 480. This money needs to be used for architects by architects and not against architects...
