Can someone with 10 years experience or more who is registered as an architectural technologist get credited as an architect with that amount of experience please. Maybe they can write an exam or something so they get that creditation. Thanks

I would argue for a dissolution of the board not the institute but nonetheless the current systems is clearly failing both the public and profession.

No big surprise - I saw it coming when the principal appointment was considered. But is there better material out there? Hope so if this petition succeeds.

We have dealt with sub-standard representation for years. The inability of SACAP to resolve IDoW for over a decade and the Competition Commission rejection of the scale of fees are just the latest failures

I have to say - What the hell were they thinking? How can you run something like this and have zero knowledge of a) being an architect b) what it takes to get there c) the actual nitty gritty of architecture ??? Disgusting! No wonder they seem so out of touch with our needs!

For years I have poured money into this use-less organisation which has offered nothing in return, personally or professionally. It has only costed me money; in fees and more even money in trying to keep my registration active. I speak for myself when I say, I would gladly pay the required annual fees, IF there was some benefit to me, or I was enriched/ mentored/ or assisted with in this profession.

This is long overdue. We need to have a board who's key objective is of the benefit of the profession

This Council is illegitimate and has not represented the interests of either architects or the public in years.
