I'm 100% for this! News says sales are down for retailers this summer, why not try something new? My daughter goes to school in Boulder, Colorado where they have Pearl Street closed off to cars, just shops and restaurants and musicians and lots of pedestrians! It's great and definitely a destination area. Restaurants are always booked and shops busy. The sooner the better!!

I hear and understand the objections to this idea, but I am convinced that it will be transformative to our downtown. Change can knock people off balance, but this one, once it settles, will be a beautiful, calming addition to our community. The car is king in SoCal - but what if we were to shake that up? We might find it's worth the trade-off to not park at the curb of the shop we want to visit (a 20th century idea) and enjoy chance interactions and looking one another in the eye as we pass on the street.

Hospitality Night is always so fun and Forest Ave is alive when that part of the street is closed. I support doing it year 'round!

A beautiful opportunity to make a portion of Forest Avenue a vibrant pedestrian friendly extension to the Main Beach promenade. What could be better than a revitalized a public space worthy of the Laguna Beach community. Great idea!

Converting the Forest shopping area from PCH to Glenneyre on weekends Friday- Sunday would be great for shoppers, businesses and locals!!

I think this will greatly improve our community/town feel; even though it's scary for retailers, I believe it will improve sales and enjoyment of the town center.

We believe that it is important for the City Council to know that there are a lot of residents who support the idea of a pedestrian street on Forest Avenue. We commend the City in its efforts to increase parking opportunities in and around our downtown.
A beautiful idea, thank you, Bill!
