We, the citizens of democratic India hereby request to you to please convert convict Yakub Memon's hanging into life imprisonment. Yakub Memon is sentenced to death for his alleged involvement in 1993 Mumbai serial Bomb blasts which was termed as a reaction to 1992 Mumbai communal riots. We strongly condemn both the dastardly acts and unfortunate incidences that has resulted in the murder of the humanity. We are of the strong opinion that such dastardly acts should not go unpunished. At the same time we are concerned for justice and think that Yakub Memon has already spent around 22 years behind the bars for the role which has not even been clearly or convincingly established. Consideration should also be given to his good conduct during his jail term and that he can not be in anyway considered a future threat to the society to be awarded capital punishment. Further, we also assume that Yakub Memon had surrendered himself and had returned to country with a confidence and belief in Indian judiciary and we may in some way be letting the faith on our justice down. We hereby request you to please look into the matter at the earliest since the date of hanging is announced as Jully 30, 2015.

I am currently finalizing a formal letter to be delivered to the offices of the President and the Chief Justice presenting this count as a record of public concern. My next step is to coordinate with legal counsel to ensure our arguments regarding the surrender of the convict are properly filed within the court record.

In India if law is equal for every citizen in terms of justice & punishment then every criminal with charges of Bomb blast who are found guilty should be hanged till death. It is the dirty politics that has made the law work according to them.
As he surrenders to the autharities with certain conditions and his involvement is not proved. There are many more people who are responsible for killing of innocent are roaming free. It will give wrong signal to the world. And it may create more hateted.
Death punishment is not good. So many countries is already banned of Death punishment. I think on huminity ground india we also banned on death punishment. What they did. God will give him big punishment. But i am aslo respecting of indian pannel court law
We should see the actual root cause for this bomb blast and why it happened. It bcoz of communal riots and death of innocence Indian citizen which held due to demolition of babri masjid. Even those people should punished who was responsible for this act.
Yes sentence to death should stop . and according to law if someone surrounder himself should get some curtisy..and involment in 1993 bomblast he should be given life imprisonment b'coz many innocent death was there includes all caste n community..
