Petition to Continue Commercial Activity at Caxambas Park

Family run businesses are one of the reasons we decided to buy our second home on Marco. Don’t end their livelihoods because you want to keep making rules.

Please don't limit the amount of parking spaces at these lots. There are usually plenty of trailer parking but not enough for visitors. We have always enjoyed jet ski tours and shelling excursions on small private trips and don't want to be limited to only being able to go out in huge corporate vessels which will be the only ones able to run if you shut this park and others down for commercial use.

This would devastate many small local business and negatively affect tourism!

It is vital to the economy of the community to allow charter fishing captains to use the county ramps. Ban trailers that take up more than one spot. Charge more for our if county trailers

This needs to be resolved in favor of the hard working class captains that depend on the boat ramps to support their families.

These tours are what brings us to Marco Island! Please don’t remove them!

Stay open to commercial businesses, that is what vacation visitors want

Dont shut this off. Florida lives off tourism. Why kick it in the pants?

I understand the limitation of the park and would find it very fruitful to the continued tourism of Marco to expand the caxambas park. If these companies relocate or use Good let… that would increase the emissions and impact the wildlife to have that much traffic redirected, and cause over use of the restricted channels between the thousand islands.

Please allow commercial activity to continue at Caxambas Park.

I take a shell tour from Goodland about four times a year. Eat at Goodland restaurants every time. Please don’t cut off access to legal shelling!

Who came up with this?

This would financially ruin hundreds if not thousands of lives here on Marco. It's been a very busy Covid year and everyone is panicking for nothing

To give the businesses 3 months warning is unfair especially since "commercial" activity was approved when they received their original permits. I am sure there is an agreement that can be reached by both parties to help small businesses. I am not sure what drove this decision to expire the permits as this petition does not state why this is an issue now. Anyway, work together.

Not right to shut down access to this area when there is so much public demand.

Maybe some solutions, rather than putting out our charter businesses for individual parking, is to designate a few parking spaces for people with a beach pass. Another idea is to only allow Marco resident owned business to go out of there.
