Petition to Continue Commercial Activity at Caxambas Park

This is a big disappoinment to us that visit Collier County. Not happy,will change future destinations

Keep the docks open for commercial businesses. These businesses bring tourism to your city & county, but they also do a great job of cleaning the garbage up and ensuring that wildlife is taken care of. These businesses are an asset to your community.

Please do not end letting the shelling tours to stop using the docks! It is the ONLY reason I come to Marco several times a year. I would never come back if I couldn’t do this!

I am a Captain and Tour guide who runs for a Company who leaves out of Goodland Boat Park. This would devastate my income and my career. I also know that a great share of our guests frequent the restaurants in Goodland, and Marco Island, along with shopping there. I think this is a huge mistake when thinking about the money spent in the area during season, which is when we make our money. Please come up with a solution to offer parking for commercial businesses, or we all lose.

Keep our access to our beautiful natural wonders open. Many of us cannot afford the big boats needed to reach these special places.

Shutting down these activities will slow tourism and damage limited available jobs in the area. Definitely don’t do it

This is people’s source of income it should not be taken away. Think of all the families.

Tourists are how that island survives. Take away the tours, you’re taking away your cash flow. That makes no sense at all.

Either Increasing fees or making a commercial dock seems to be a more viable option rather than terminating permits at the current dock. It doesn’t make sense. Many visitors, including myself take the tours as a way to see the islands. If we were to rent a boat and drive ourselves, we do not know the water and sandbars which could cause more issues. At the very least, if parking is to be cut back, a shuttle could be arranged to take visitors to the dock and leave services as they are today.

Losing the shelling tours would be so upsetting. They are the heart of our trip from Maryland. We enjoy the boat ride out to 10,000 Islands. We have learned so much from the guides about your beautiful area and all it has to offer.

This is an absurd proposed legislation.

This is crazy stop trying to squeeze out small businesses!

Short-sighted! Unacceptable to the people and tourists of FL!

City doesn’t appreciate the hardworking people that rely on caxambas marina for their businesses!!

There has to be some type of agreement that can be reached in order to keep those dependent on this park for their livelihood and for those of us that will come to this county and spend $$ (that will stop also so there is more impact from this possible decision).

Basically the county is putting the consequences of their expansion decisions on the back of the people who make it what it is, sound familiar? Simple solution, use the tax increase which the citizens voted on for more parking. Our boat ramps are lacking basic amenities as it is.. Caxambas doesn’t even have running water and 951 ramp utilizes portopotties

Please reconsider and don’t stop the charters out Caxambas Park! Thank you!! You would be taking away so many jobs and livelihood!! Also, there are so many people who come down to marco just for the charter and jet ski rentals!

We will not even bother to come back to Marco unless tours are allowed out of Caxambas Marina. How can you stop the most popular tourist activity on the island?

our shelling tour on Marco island was the best parts of our Florida vacation.
