Petition to Continue Commercial Activity at Caxambas Park

I look forward to going to Florida one day for a shelling tour

Small business is the heartbeat of this country. No one has the right to say who can and can’t do business in the ocean and using public property. Allow business to continue and stop trying to control it.

Keep this open access. Many families will be financially affected. Thank you

We try to come to Marco Island every year for my birthday shelling tour. We spend money to eat in this area and we sometimes stay at a hotel in this area for a week. We spend a ton of money in the Marco Island. Shelling is the ONLY reason we come to Marco Island!

I believe this will have a massive detrimental effect on people’s livelihoods, tourism and the economy of Marco Island and surrounding communities.

I ask for Collier County to negotiate with the tour owners who use the marina so that their businesses will not be forced to close. Closing this marina is Not the answer to decreasing traffic on & near the marina. We, the public, will be excluded from enjoying shelling trips, tour companies will be closed, & tourist dollars will not flow into Marco & the surrounding communities if this rule is allowed to stand.

Please let all these small businesses keep doing what they are doing! Please don’t do this!!

We could travel all over the states but we have gone to Florida for decades to enjoy the thrill of treasure hunting Florida’s seashells!! This is a family tradition. Please don’t take away our access to boats and tours that we access on the public docks! I hate to think of vacationing in other states! Thank you.

You'll be taking food out of peoples mouths if you do this. Without a business, people could lose their homes.

You should be ASHAMED of yourselves for trying to keep people from making a living! Do you know how much tourist business creates income for your county? What kind of idiots do you have in place? Step down. Step down step down. You have NO clue how to operate a calculator, much less amount. Merciful heavens. Maybe you can ask the person next to you to help pull your head out of your ass, then you can do the same for the one next to you.

Please don’t negatively affect these small businesses.

i really enjoyed our trip last March Without the shelling trip we would have never traveled from Cocoa Beach there

This touch of the wild is so healthy, and should not be confined to a few.

Please continue commercial activity at Caxambas Park

I fully support this petition to save commercial use to allow for continued use and access to 10,000 islands.

Please work this out where no one gets hurt. People come from all over the world just to go on shelling/fishing/sightseeing tours. Caxambas is in the best location for tour businesses and I’d like to continue touring from that location. Get it fixed, please.
