Don’t ruin the businesses that helped keep this island alive with tourism

Locals support locals!!!♥️

This will affect many family’s and owners

Yet another example of overreach and governmental intrusion. This will force many hard working taxpayers out of business!!!

This needs to be rethought. Aside the livelihoods of many people these tours are big attractions to Marco island. This is short sighted and there needs to be consideration given to additional parking or launching facilities being built around this area.

We have taken kayak and dolphin tours out of Caxambas and Goodland many times. The thought of not being able to share these trips with our kids when they come to visit us is so upsetting! I walk to Caxambas almost every morning when we are on Marco and have never seen lines of cars causing traffic problems. This needs to be rethought. It is vital to these businesses to be able to meet their clients at a convenient spot!

We love CAXAMBAS PARK.

My husband is a fishing guide. This is how he puts food on our table to feed our two children. Please consider other options to continue to allow commercial boaters to utilize these ramps peacefully. Thank you.

Instead of worrying about this. Worry about a food park

Tourism is vital to Marco Island’s Economy. Why in the world would you want to destroy business.

Please re-zone Caxambas Park to allow for commercial activity. It seems this is a simple solution and the right path forward to allow for the continued enjoyment for locals and tourists alike. Caxambas Park is what it is today because of the hard work of the local businesses that provide their desired services out of the location.

Rather than just eliminate 90% of the commercial activity, they should continue as is and work out alternative arrangements if needed. Seems very capricious to make sucha drastic change with so little notice. Park is very limited all over area boat launches.

Leave things alone.

Commercial operations are vital to tourism. Invest to expand capacity if needed.

Don’t shut them down. We love the stuff that they do.

As a property owner who has clients coming to enjoy the beautiful areas of Marco, I support our local business who help thoughtfully and safely show our renters the waters and islands of the area. Closing access to them means so much more than controlling parking. This is not ok! I stand with those who respectfully and consciously use these access points to share Marco with those who are adding revenue and tax dollars to our city.

Destroying family businesses operating for years and years here on the island is unconscionable!!
