Петиція щодо продовження контракту з Отцем Юрієм Федівим (Petition to renew the contract of Father Yuriy Fediv)

16 years ago I was amember of Parish Council of this church. The treasurer is the same person who was and still is currently. Those people did exactly the same thing to a priest they brought to Australia then this cannot be allowed to happen again. I have not attended a church service since yet I was brought up here from childhood. I fully support Fr Fediv who was able to bring back the spirit to the church that was lost some 16 years ago by the actions of the current Parish Council.

The decision not to extend the contract with Fr Yurkiv is wrong and made in secrecy without explanation to the Parish members. He has literally revived the Brisbane Parish

Я хочу сказати декілька слів про отця Юрія. Коли я прилітала в Брізбен два рази до війни, то я не знала і не чула , що тут дійсно є Українська церква. Тепер, коли я з великим болем в душі мусила покинути свою країну, я почула про одну людину в Брізбені , яка може зробити цей світ світлішим, теплішим і справедливішим. Це про Отця Юрія. Це людина з великим добрим серцем. Отець Юрій зігріває нас у ці важкі часи коли ми знаходимось так далеко від дому. Він вселяє у наші серця віру, спокій, надію. Його підтримка є безцінна для Української громади у Квінсленді.

I support the right thing.

The Ukrainian community needs this priest now more than ever, while this totally unjustified war continues to rage. People are hurting while loved ones in Ukraine have been killed. Please let him stay.

Please, renew the contract of Father Yuriy Fediv .

Yuriy, combine community together!

It is disgraceful that in this time of spiritual need for so many displaced Ukrainians that a few select people made such a decision without consulting the community which the church is meant to support. It's disgraceful. The entire board should be removed by way of a vote of no confidence.

Please keep him!

Father Yuriy is a true Christian. His contract must be renewed.

Father Yurii has to stay and continue to work in Brisbane parish

I wholeheartedly support this petition and agree with every statement in it. I can add that Father Yuriy is a kind person who became an essential part of the Ukrainian Community of Brisbane. It would be deeply regretful to see him being dismissed without any explanation to those who found support in him. In my experience he is an embodiment of an enlightened priest who understands modern society and finds ways to hearts of young and not so young people. His deep unwavering patriotism and devotion to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church brought solace and hope to so many of us.

Please allow Fr. Yurij to stay.
