The services provided by the area in question are very important to our community. They add value to our area and help make it an attractive place to live. Please reconsider this zoning action.

I have been using various businesses in the Brookville Road Business District for more than 30 years. Keeping this as a business district enhances the community of Silver Spring. There are other sites for residential housing, but none other for this kind of low-impact, easy access, all-in-one-place business district. Over the years, this has been our go to dog grooming and training, Halloween costumes, dance shoes, baby clothes, party supplies, and a host of other items and services. Please consider the needs of the greater community! Penelope Winkler

Please do not do this. The small business on Brookville Road are some of the best in the whole county. I go there for so many things. Why target small business? Especially those of such excellent quality. As mentioned by others, they are the backbone of our community. I am sure a way to fit them ib to the plan can be found..

Support local small businesses. I can't imagine the businesses in Brookville Road Business District not being there. The members of our household located 1.5 miles patronize so many of them. Please do not rezone to permit residential use.

Victoria Thompson, I could not agree more! And the comment by Anonymous could not be more on target or speak for so many of us. There are so many useful practical businesses and services in the Brookville Business District that we can even walk to. To undervalue them is extremely shortsighted.

The Brookville business district has so many important small businesses that have helped me. My wedding cake decorator, florist, dog kennel/groomer and tire shop are all in one block. And my nephews first job was at a towing place in that area. These small businesses are the backbone of this community.

Such a unique need in the county for affordable and well located industrial space. So many amazing small business owners that need this situation to succeed.
