Petition to Conserve, Protect and Enhance the Brookville Road Business District

I use many of services that these small businesses supply. I have lived in this neighborhood for more than 30 years and feel that the Brookville Road Business District should remain intact.

Please remove all residential components from Brookville Rd. Business District area of the Greater Lyttonsville Sector Plan (GLP).

Please remove the residential components of Brookville road be removed.

It would be nice if members of the communities affected by project plans had some input.

I am one of the small business owners on Brookville Road. Eliminating this industrial park would force my company to relocate outside of the Beltway, & would inconvenience not just us but our clients. Our current location is perfect for what we do, & we're only able to keep operating with our convenient location & reasonable rent.

are out of work? I completely understand the urgent need for residential space in the DC Metro area, but we also need to keep room for the businesses that would and do employ these people.

I am one of the small business-employed people on Brookville Rd. My shop employs under ten people, including the owners, & our business provides high quality & affordable framing for many of the art galleries in the DC Metro area. Removing this industrial park would create a vacuum in the art community, as affordable space inside the Beltway has all but disappeared, & our shop would be forced to close down if we couldn't remain right where we are. There are so many small businesses on Brookville Road, that eliminating the industrail aspect of it would be devastating on the local economy. Lyttonsville, Westbard, downtown Bethesda: Why won't the Council listen to the constituents that actually live in these neighborhoods?

Save industrial zone

It is so shortsighted. Like desigining and building a house with no kitchen, utility room or bathroom, all essential components of a well balanced home. These small local practical businesses provide critical services and jobs to the region. Thanks for signing and spread the word!

It is unfair to residents who depend on these conveniently located essential businesses to force them out in favor of even more residential development in this highly populated part of the county.

There are many vital, active businesses in this area which need to be maintained.

I heartily endorse industrial zoning

Thank you for your comments and support! Two separate independent expert studies both concluded that the biggest threat to MoCo's fast disappearing industrial zones is residential encroachment. These services and businesses are VITAL to a well balanced community. Keep IM zoning intact!

Capital Dog Training Club, 2758 Garfield Ave., S.S., Maryland 20910 needs an affordable area to train our pets. The warehouse space we are using now fits the bill. Please maintain the current industrial zoning for our warehouse office park rather than the proposed commercial residential town(CRT). People jobs, training facility and businesses depend on it.

Th business r of great value. Our Dog Training Club I located in one of the warehouse. Write the local area as well popl from other jurisdictions. This allows us to train people to work their dog to their fullest potentials a reasonable cost. W are the oldest established training club in the area

Planners and County talk a lot about economic growth and opportunity, yet when they have a commercial district as unique, vibrant and successful as this one is, they can't seem to resist applying the "one size fits all" Commercial Residential Zoning which has in effect killed small local independent businesses in other locations throughout MoCo. PLEASE do not mess with success! Keep IM zoning in place.

By changing the zoning, you would also negatively impact the commerce brought in by DC residents.
