The board just announced that the exam is officially moved to the end of the year and I honestly cannot believe it really happened. It feels surreal to think about how worried we all were a few weeks ago even though we should probably still double check the application guidelines …

To Professional Regulation Commission, Board of Veterinary Medicine: Dr. Ma. Elizabeth Callanta, Chairwoman; Dr. Maximo Montenegro, Member; Dr. Mariano LL. Jovellanos, Member.

We, the examinees of the upcoming Veterinary Medicine Licensure Examination, are humbly asking from your good office and good heart to please consider changing the examination date and month of Veterinary Medicine Licensure Exam to November or December and also extend the deadline of application for examination.

As we all know, all schools have already changed the academic calendar to August-June which leaves the newly grads a much lesser timeframe alloted for review (2 months maximum). Now for some it may be enough, but most of us, less than average students will surely be cramming up information until the board exam. Some graduates even opted out of taking the board this year for the same reason.

We are hoping for your positive response. Thank you very much.

I honestly did not think this would gain this much steam but seeing everyone vent about the calendar shift makes me feel so much less panicked about my own review books gathering dust. It is wild to see so many of us struggling with the same tight window and I am going to reach out to the board office again because they really need to see how many people are feeling this exact same pressure.

We just graduated last june 16, and even missed the first 2 weeks of the review schedule offered by LEAP. It would mean a lot to us if the VLE schedule would be moved later this year. Thank you

I've graduted last June 21 and for me it is really hard to cope up with the review lessons. I hope for your kind consideration. Thank you.

The preparation is too short for newly graduated student. I hope that they could consider this matter for the fact that the acedemic calendar of different universities and colleges are not the same. Adjustments will benefit everyone.

Im just an average student in college. 2 months for us is not enough. VLE needs more time on reviewing.
