If you mandate masks then Lee virtual / home connect need to be brought back ! I will not have my child be forced for 8hrs a day to wear a mask. These teachers DO NOT give mask breaks for middle school or higher. If they worked then you wouldn't send 20 healthy kids home at a time for a week for exposure!!!

There is no research study that shows masks work. Parents should always be the decision maker for their children. I back Governor Desantis 100%.

Protect parental rights and freedoms, health care decisions for their children. The government should not be in charge of our kids just because they attend public schools. Because the government has proven to be ineffectual, biased and complete fools at governing anything.

The Governor said he would sign it if the legislature puts it on his desk. We have a GOP controlled legislature. Do it NOW.

What a strange place to have to put yourself in where you have to tell the child to defy the teachers that they are supposed to trust. It's like the only option now is to teach our kids to only follow the rules from the people that have their best interest at heart. We never had to do anything like this as kids. Who knows what the consequences are of teaching a kid to distrust their teachers in the school and to defy the rules that go against their constitutional rights? If we don't teach them NOW how to defend their rights, how then would they stand up to it in the future? Compliance with this literally means they should shut up and do what their told to do...they really put all parents in a horrible position. These kids are supposed to be able to trust the guidance of their teachers and parents and now even teachers and parents are fighting...it's such a shame. Who are the kids supposed to believe? Most of them would probably put the mask on and just do it and go to school no complaints but is it what's right? Is it what’s best for them? Are we supposed to be raising well behaved kids at this point or the kind of kids that defy authority when it's not right? What an ugly world we are in when answers to questions such as this are completely baffling! An agreement between the adults that care about them (parents and teachers) needs to be made if we are going to live in a respectful society and still raise respectful & strong children. Just like family court this should not involve the children seeing or hearing about conflict. We as adults need to make these decisions and this mandate should never have gone through. Seems a lot of the people in government and schools are starting to forget that “we the people” are the stakeholders, WE pay the salary teachers make and fund the schools. We also pay THEM to educate our children on their rights as an American citizen. If that’s not a consideration and that is indeed not the goal of the teachers as well… I’ll be removing

Masking is child abuse.
Parental rights should always prevail.
