I also sent a comment on the BOE website. These thoroughly vetted candidates are well qualified for the job. We all know what the true objection from all of the people making noise about this is and it has nothing to do with the professional qualifications of these candidates.

While there are people who enjoy making a scene at meetings to try to sway public opinion, there remains a significant majority of people in the county who want the BOE to be able to do their job. Enough with people using the "Culture Wars" Handbook to hijack our community.

It IS the job of our ELECTED Board of Education to run our school system. The board of commissioners determine funding and not policy. Parents have always had input but do not control the curriculum, hiring, etc
