Women should be able to choose where they give birth. Low risk births are safer at home, and being at home is better for all mothers' mental health.

Women deserve to make informed decisions regarding their body and where they give birth. By removing options the government is removing choice which then pushes women to make unsafe delicious such as homebirth with out a qualified care provider.
Homebirth saves money, increases positive outcomes, decreases PND and decreases sttess on the overcrowded public system.

Women have a right to continuity of care in a place that makes them feel safe. Private midwives are an essential requirement.

Research shows that for low risk pregnancies, home births supported by midwives are very safe and result in fewer unnecessary surgical interventions that are costly both to the woman in terms of her wellbeing and to the health system financially.
