I am fortunate to be a Registered Midwife practicing in Ontario Canada where families are allowed safe home births and where I have insurance coverage. I believe all midwives and all birthing families all over the world deserve this safe care.

Women need choice. Birth is not an illness so don't treat it as such.

its a woman's birthright, to birth, when, how, and with whom she chooses. Most women would choose a midwife

Let's keep the voice to the women and midwives and not the government thanks

If midwives arent allowed to go determined people will do free births. Which are dangerous - unlike a home birth with a registered midwife present.

We need this service regardless of whether they are insured or not. Please continue the exemption to ensure that midwives can attend homebirths.

Independent midwives are the best, babies and mums clearly have a better experience in this environment... Not even worth debating...

Women deserve choice in their birth experiences. It's actually proven that homebirth with a midwife is just as safe - if not safer than- a hospital birth. Tell your greedy corporates to get off their high horse and think about their mothers, daughters, and wives. Birth shouldn't be about the money.

I believe women need to be able to choose the birth they want to have. Insurance Midwives to provide quality care and choices.

As a student midwive I truely hope that when I graduate and progress through my career that I'll be able to support women to birth wherever they choose.
