Petition to Allow Private Midwives to be Eligible for Professional Indemnity Insurance or to Be Exempt from Being Required to Enroll in PI

We need out Midwives, my daughter had one and she was wonderful its wrong to deny them PI, if its good for all the other profesional it should be good for them

We've been doing it for hundreds of years, we will continue to do it for hundreds of years. Let us do what we do best, and support us in our decision to be at home.

Private midwives need this so that they can continue to support people who choose to have home births.

Please allow midwives to keep doing what they have done for centuries and look after healthy women give birth in their home!

If private midwifes can't attend homebirths than there will be a increase in free birthing . Or it will go underground without regulation . I for one would be one to free birth at home over opting for a hospital unless the situation arose that I needed to go.

Women should have the right to have a midwife at there home to birth their baby if this is their choice and it makes it a more natural experience which it is

Midwives are health care professionals that provide an amazing service which reduces overall medical costs to the health care system. Safe home birth needs to be supported.

The support I was given before and after birth was amazing. These midwives are fantastic. Why overload the hospital system when it's not nessessary?
