Mobile Mechanics, Inc. has been in business since 1973. We have based our entire business model on the concept that people deserve the option to have a convenient service for automotive repairs at their home, work, or play locations. We have been very successful and have a very loyal following of customers who see the value of our service. Since its creation Mobile Mechanics offered State Safety Inspections at the shop. In the early 1980's we were part of the County Emissions program. Around that same time we were given the authorization by both the County and the State to perform both tests on location. Once a month we were required to go in to the county and have them check the calibration on our truck mounted Sun Machine. This continued up until the County decided that they wanted to implement a dynomometer for Emissions testing which was not only expensive but not mobile in the least. At that time we stopped doing Emissions and Safety inspections. In 2012 we became part of the program again with the release of the new method of testing supplied by A Plus Technologies. In 2014 a camera for monitoring every test was installed in our bay and the process of recording every inspection was live.

We think that that at this time there is no reason that we should be denied the ability to perform an Emission and Safety Inspection on location. Every step of both inspections can be recorded and monitored and we would also be willing to have more strict guidelines for exclusion from the program.

We feel this is very important because we have the ability to offer this service on location and the experience to know how to make it work for The State, The County, The People, and our company.
