Petition to Advocate for Kroger store on South Limestone Springfield Ohio to reconsider leaving the community with Healthy and sustainable food suppor

The store is a necessity for nearby families, children, and local schools to purchase groceries. The local school officials purchase food and/or snacks for school events. Kroger’s on South Limestone provides work opportunities for students, handicapped, and local businesses. What community does not have a grocery store? The company allocated funds to build a liquor store. That budget could have been utilized to fund a budget for improvements that could attract local hotel visitors and highway consumers. Many years Kroger’s has had no competitor grocery stores in the area. Therefore Kroger’s has capitalized on grocery sales. The community has faithfully continued to support and shop at Kroger’s. It is imperative for every community to have a grocery store.

There is no other grocery store in the south end of Springfield. It is of great importance that this store REMAINS in this community...

I like to have a groceries store close to home

What are the people in that area with no car suppose to do or the elderly that can’t drive far... I don’t live there but was born and raised there my family still lives on the south side and we shop there when we are in town this will be terrible no grocery store on the south side

I shop at this Kroger's

The closing of this Kroger store will have an impact on the individuals living in the neighborhood. This is the only grocery store in that area. The Kroger company is doing a huge dis-service to the community that has enough difficulties as it is. SHAME on Kroger

Kroger should sell property to another grocery store. When they leave people is south end will have no place to shop. We have three other Kroger stores that are mostly on the north end..

this kroger is been my only store for years

Kroger is the only grocery in the area probably because they probably out-competed anyone else. Because of that, they should feel responsible to keep their location at South Limestone, or at least make sure that location remains a grocery store. It's the right thing to do.

Please reconsider closing the Kroger store on the south side of Springfield. Many customers walk to the store as they are either elderly or without an automobile. Thank you.
