The park was just starting to look great and being maintained properly and it is ruined now with ugly fences. I think this idea is illogical. Does not cater for the majority of the community

As a regular user when I visit my Dad, I love the Jacko have have very fond memories from a young age. I still bring my dog for walks there, she is on a lead until I’m in the main section, then I let her loose but as soon as I see children or other gods I call her back & put her on the lead. I don’t walk up to the where this new ‘dog park’ and will continue to go the same. It’s such a shame, more dog wanders are needed instead of this. On my last visit to the park only 3 weeks ago I had my dog loose running around near the water (near the Lord Mayors) side of the park, there were 3 other dogs loose and all happy but as soon as another member of the public arrived with a Staf. Bull Terrier no lead & no muzzle all other dog users put their own dogs on leads & left. This is the type of thing that needs to be monitored.

Dogs have a right to run free, their poo is healthy for the earth, the plastic bags for disposing there poo is killing other animals fish etc. people who can’t control their dogs are the problem and shouldn’t have them.

More thought should go into this. Very cheap and shoddy solution to a problem

Leave the Jacko the way it was just natural

This is such a stupid idea and will not stop the very few people who have a fear of dogs still having this fear ... people who own aggressive dogs are unlikely to be the people who use this enclosure... very unfair and waste of time and money

I don't agree with the dog park. The area in one of the parks is a swamp and will be a mud bath in no time.

Absolute disgrace - council to their credit have done a great job in last few years making Jacko a lovely place to walk our 2 dogs - now this eyesore - what happens when dogs in the new compound get involved in a fight and owners get injured trying to split them - the mineynbeing wasted on this eyesore would be better spent putting in dog litter bags and bins at a fraction of the cost and with less public objection - be sensible, abondin this and re think

Has totally ruined the park and I now go elsewhere (i.e. other parks!) with my dog. Worst idea ever.

What a waste of money, would be better of doing a park for kids to go. People have always walked there dogs of leads in this area for years. They need somewhere to exercise freely. Take it down.

Please remove this eyesore that even your own parks dept think is a bad idea. This valley belongs to the people of Swords and has been shared for many years by dog walkers, joggers, walkers and people generally enjoying the amenity, not to mention the wildlife. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Please don't ruin our park!!
