Petition to remove enclosed dog park in Rivervalley Park (The Jacko)

I want the dog parked removed from the Valley. FCC have destroyed our beautiful amenity. Its a disgrace what has been done despite knowing what residents have communicated to you.

15 grand wasted, the look of the valley completely changed, wildlife disturbed in a major way ... what were you thinking FCC? You'd be doing us all a favour if you went after things like scramblers, then I could actually take my kids to the park. It isn't the dogs that stop me from bringing them!

Objects to the complete mess FCC have made of the park with the ridiculous dog fencing.

The area is solving a problem that didn't exist. Bad for users. Bad for wildlife.

People and dogs have been sharing this park for decades. The council should have enforced the existing bye laws and many dog owners would have changed their behaviours. Dog runs are unnatural and can lead to changes in behaviour. And where can we exercise our dogs before going to the dog park if we can't allow them off leash? Time for us to call out the County Council and say we won't be made to suffer so that they can turn our park into a revenue stream.

I think it's an absolute disgrace firstly that they have ruined our park and secondly I am a responsible dog owner and I refuse to be told where I can walk my dog or to be corralled.

It's so sad to see the destruction of our beautiful park for no good reason. So so sad about this. Shame on you Fingal Co Co.

An absolute disgrace destroying our lovely par in this way, apart form destroying the picturesque park its proven that enclosed dog areas are not good for the well being of the dog. Disgusting behaviour Fingal County Council, I thought you were supposed to have the best interest in mind for residence.

What will FCC’s solution be to the anti-social drinking that takes place in the shelter of the trees in the park....cut down all the trees???

This is a complete distruction of a natural Habitate for wild life and nature. Alsi most people using the park are doh walkers who enjoy walking the dogs in nature all year round not just on s nice sunny day . Destroying s beautiful park. Mind boggles
