Petition to remove enclosed dog park in Rivervalley Park (The Jacko)

I walk everyday in the Jacko, this fenced area ruins the beautiful natural parkland.

No need for them... was none for the ladt 27 years I've lived herr and there's no reason now. Waste rof money and ruined the park

The few open spaces available to residents have now been fenced off for dogs. These sections of the park now feel claustrophobic in comparison to what they once were. This park was the best thing about Swords, I just can't believe this has been done. It will make no difference at all to the number of dogs left off their leash nor to the amount of dog waste left by irresponsible dog owners. Such a senseless defacing of this once beautiful park. And for what?

These cages are a waste of our money. I will never subject my dogs to a cage

If there is an issue with dogs, why not have a dog warden enforce the rules that dogs should be on a lead instead of destroying the public space that is our park. Remember Fingal County Council, this is a public space which is owned by the people of the country and not you. The peoples will should be respected. Shame on you.

It’s actually cruel to pen dogs into one area.

It's absolutely disgraceful and disgusting what fingal council have done to the ward park (aka the Jacko) they have destroyed a beautiful park shame on all who had and hand or part in doing this hang your heads in shame fingal council and restore our park back to the way it was

99% of dog owners are responsible when walking dogs...good for both humans and dogs to get out in the open space.
