Michael has done so much for the city of Vancouver and it is a better place because of him. Shame on the person who is using this situation as an obvious political gain. As a small business owner I 100% support Michael Wiebe

Mike strikes me as a passionate advocate for the city. The level of criticism he has received for a patio application comes across as political opportunism on a non issue.

City council‘s approval of Covid patios was an initiative that saved the jobs of thousands of people in this city while providing a safe outdoor dining experience. This plan likely would not have happened if we didn’t have someone experienced in the restaurant business as a part of our city council.

Hard working Councillor who made no secret of his business and community involvement.
Seems some are threatened by him.

This is absurd. He has helped his own business as well as many others find a way to make their businesses stay afloat. He should be commended not condemned

Available program for all establishments. As a patron I’m disappointed it took so long to happen.

Mike, thanks for spearheading the patios! Your insight, which comes from industry knowledge, surely saved many restaurants from going completely belly up! Also, I'm quite sure that the patios saved many people from completing losing their minds due to pandemic isolation. And lots of staff were able to keep working. It was a great, timely idea that helped many people and businesses. I hope we can keep these patios and figure out seasonal solutions for them.

Mike is the kind of forward thinking, problem solver we need on city council. When no one else steps up, we need people like him and less of the people who try and hold us back or stunt our growth as a city.

No one should be punished for doing what they can to support small businesses during the pandemic.

The suit against Mike is rooted in partisan politics rather than support of the public interest. Mike has been a tireless advocate for all small businesses across Vancouver, and now is not the time for this kind of take-down campaign.

Thank you Mike for helping an industry with a mere 3-5% profit margin on average! Without these city patios many many small businesses would have surely gone under! We support you Mike!

Mike is a great guy and always supports the local scene. As an artist ive known him before his time as councilor, where he operated as a scout to provide spaces for small art galleries and groups. Shame on those participating in this witch hunt.
