I choose to purchase my property in Sammamish because it is peaceful, safe, and has good schools. I strongly against the proposal of setting homeless tents beside our houses. It will ruin our community.

Just because you own the piece of land does not automatically grant you the right to use it however you want. Simply put, I own my property but I can't anyhow put a shed or take down a tree in my backyard-- I need to apply and obtain a permit, to make sure my action would not affect other properties in the neighborhood in any way. We Sammamish residents form a close knit community that matters concerning the community as a whole need to be discussed and decided by the majority of residents. I'm completely in disbelief that Tent City would be built so close to our neighborhood without seeking consultation and approval from residents nearby.

I am all for supporting and helping people, but have concern about the impact on near by residential areas.There are many kids walking around this area after school. I am especially worried about the influence on kids and potential risk of their safety.
