The lab component of Applied Quantitative Analysis I course was to teach us the fundamentals of using Stata, a software essential to our master's thesis due in six months.
Our experiences during the Fall 2014 semester with the lab instructor, Jonathan Bearak, are reasons why I am signing this petition. We are dissatisfied and know this lab component are not up to the Department of Sociology, the GSAS or NYU's standards.

we are paying way to much tuition to be teaching ourselves stata. jonathan has no idea how to explain anything and i am terrified for my thesis.
