It would be a travesty for this wonderful home/property to disappear and be turned into subdivided property. It's such a treasure and hopefully, it will be able to be saved.

It's a beautiful piece of history.

This home was a part of my childhood. It has such an amazing place in Louisville's history. Let's keep the highlands unique! Save this home.

Becky Urton Misback 2833 Tremont Drive is being demolished. At first I was sad. Then I was mad. Mom and dad lived there for over 50 years beautifully. To say it needs so much work is a matter of opinion. Mom always regretted giving up the original claw foot tub for her then futuristic pink square tub which she kept up with an annual coat of pink pool paint and wall paper border. They loved their home the way it was. I am okay that it will go down just the way they loved it!! I will be thinking of mom's favorite song, Amazing Grace as it is levelled.

The time will come when I must leave this house-Whose beauty is the anthem in my heart There are so many things beside the last-Departure that the scythe of Death must bring I cannot hope to always walk these rooms-In quiet reverence to other days. The legends I have dreamed for it will pass-When I have gone. And who will see the ghosts My fantasy creates in loveliness?-And who will seek at Twilight's mystic hour, This quiet parlor, where so long ago-Those shadows that I love lived out there days? God grant that they who live here after me-may recognize it's whispered charm! That they tread gently on these ancient floors.-And have respect for graceful years gone by. The site is worthy of designation and any new construction can be adapted to both building and site. Continuing to bulldoze significant history flies in the face of a xo passionate sustainable green visionary forward community . Or is that all just talk ?
