No person shall occupy or be appointed without a minimum requirement of being a librarian with library and information science qualifications. The National Library Act requires that the National Librarian be appointed not something we do not know. A National librarian acts as the CEO not the other way around.

As a trained librarian, I would like to see appointed to the post of CEO a person trained as librarian to advance the information aspects to the nation.
