Petition ​Regarding the Appointment of the National Librarian/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the National Library of South Africa (NLSA)

The Information Science profession must be respected.

Make South Africa a reading nation and reduce illiteracy rate

The intention to recruit/appoint a non professional to head a professional body is a call to nonprofessional results and as such, should be discarded.

Libraries are the source of knowledge.

Our profession is reduced to non important component as the Primary goal is relegated to the secondary goals of running a business and not transforming the lives if people through information and knowledge

In the best interest of the entity, I support the demands so we can ensure that the process is fair

save National library

please fix the unfairness being done in the selection process

The appointment must follow due process and in line with the constitution.

No LIS qualification no NLSA CEO oppointment

No to appointment of a non librarian and library assistant to be the National Librarian.

Library Information science is a professional body therefore a non librarian is not qualified to head the organization.

Let's do the right thing

Employ a qualified people on strategic positions

Please respect our profession

I am totally against the appointment
