Recruitment in all positions of work/job should specify professional standards. A national library should be headed by a LIBRARIAN nor a CEO

It's important to recognize our limits and respect the boundaries of our expertise. When we focus on our own fields and allow others to do the same, we create a more harmonious and effective world. I support Librarians.

Our profession must be respected, me personally am not happy with people who intentionally violet the rights of librarians by appointing un qualified staff in many organisations and institutions. This must stop. I submit

A non-librarian cannot be appointed as the National Librarian of South Africa. This contravenes the principles of professionalism and an aberration.
