Petition ​Regarding the Appointment of the National Librarian/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the National Library of South Africa (NLSA)

We need transparency it has been a why men running the institution

I'm against the appointment of the National Librarian who is not a Librarian and not Qualified,

I'm against with the appointment of non-Librarians

Fairness for position to those who supposed to hold position with relevant qualifications

I strongly disagree with the appointment of the CEO without relevant qualifications. I say no to the disrespect of our profession.

We need a National Librarian, the calibre of the late Prof. Rocky Ralebipi-Simela. A highly qualified librarian with a passion, commitment and dedicationto advancing the library profession.

Please hire suitable candidate for NLSA,stop reducing librarianship profession by hiring people with any qualifications

Nepotism is too much and Information Science Graduates are not taken seriously.

Employ qualified people

Its high time LIS profession should be recognise by everybody. We cannot afford to turn a blind blind eye wherein our profession is being undermined. It took us years to go to school and complete our qualifications. The love, dedication, time and sweat to under go further training and obtaining our qualifications to be to be relevant professionals cannot be looked waya. VIVA LIS VIVA

No to appointment of non librarians

I am a qualified librarian with bachelor's degree in Information science, I'm saying no to people being hired without qualifications and I have qualifications but can not be hired.
