Qualified librarian should be made national Librarians

This is so unfair and a total disgrace to our profession as much as we trying to fight the common enemy which is poverty but we are unemployed graduates who are slipping into depression.

No to appointment of a non librarian to be the National Librarian.

Stop corruption and hire qualified candidates..... we're tired of being undermined

I sign the petition in defence of NLSA integrity a Non Librarian cannot lead and be National Librarian while we have people who are qualified to fulfil the role

I condemn the doing of NLSA of appointing someone without qualification in Librarianship

Proper protocols must be followed. Librarianship must be respected like all the professions that exist.

Unacceptable practices to undermine the Library profession.

Let the professionals lead

Our profession is under threat in this country and we demand transparency and want a qualified LIS professional to be appointed as a National Librarian. Down with cadre deployment it is destroying our country.✊

For library assistant posts to require LIS qualification not matric.

That is why we will never be fully recognized and respected in our profession because of such acts,it has to stop.

A national librarian should be a qualified librarian.

I wholeheartedly endorse this petition. For any business to succeed, strong and capable leadership is crucial. All leadership roles must be occupied by people who are really competent, experienced with Library and Information Science qualifications and dedicated to the long-term goals and values of the organization.

For the justification of Qualified Librarians without jobs, I cannot sit and fold arms while my fellow graduates are suffering for jobs
