Petition to Pope Francis to Test the Shroud of Turin

New technology which is now available and which is more accurate is should be allowed to determine the shroud's date and authenticity, by which radiocarbon dating back in the 1970s was inadequate. This is a no-brainer for coming to a sound and logical conclusion for those who require this type of proof.

It has been over 37 years since the highly questionable results have come to light from the radiocarbon dating tests. Moreover, developments in technology for advanced testing since 1978, alone warrant re-testing of the Shroud.The time has come for the Shroud to be properly re-examined. Thank you film makers of documentary "Unwrapping The Shroud: New Evidence" for bringing to light compelling new information. Retesting needs to be done!

I took in Mark's presentation on findings related to the Shroud at the St. Louis St. Thomas More Society breakfast on 4/4/2014.

As a lifelong Catholic, I would like to have the benefit of the additional tests so that we might know, once and for all, if the Shroud of Turin is truly the burial cloth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

I respectfully request that Pope Francis allow new tests on the Shroud of Turin.
