If there is Truth that can be unveiled with more testing for the athiest, then yes. Otherwise, the Bible is all the believer needs to come into the knowledge of the Son of God, by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Keep the pope away from this Shroud. They don't believe in Jesus.The Catholic Churches are false religions..

I believe in the authenticity of the Holy Shroud. It will be good for others to know about its sacred nature which is God's gift to humanity.

I've seen the replica in Jerusalem at the Notre Dame Museum and even their replica is very powerful and moving. The Passion was real, these tests could help many who are lost.

It would be of enourmous benefit to have this sacramental definitively tested with modern technology.

The mystery needs final proof, one way or th other, and the Church needs to be involved..

I agree; we have better technology to determine final authenticity, so we would be well off to use it. Especially for all those who can't be convinced by the overwhelming evidence already gathered. My understanding is that Radio carbon 14 dating ( used in 1988) is not an accurate method for small eras of time ( a couple thousand years., for instance). It is best a measure of 100,000 to a million year length of times.
