2 years and 10 months is not long enough for someone who took another persons life. He needs to serve his full term in prison, possibly even consider life. A 7 year sentence isn't even long enough time. Alix family will not see their child for their remainder of their lifetime.

2 years 10 months? That's not enough time for a life taken in the manor it was taken he violated so many other things that would be 2 years 10 months but a life? That officer that lost her life, mother hasn't had time to heal, the mother accepted the plee agreement thinking he would at the least do the 7 plus years so at least give her that..

I agree that it’s too soon to release the convicted police officer. He has not suffered the equivalent consequences of his actions.

He killed someone. He has a past history of violence against women. This shows a pattern of bahavior, what he is like and how little he feels toward people of the opposite sex. He doesn't deserve to be free, he is definitely a danger to the public, especially females.

As law enforcement officers we should be held to a higher standard, when violating that standard, punishment must be swift and that punishment should accurately meet the crime. We have felony drug dealers with longer incarceration times. Has this man even changed? Does he have remorse for his arrogant actions? Is he planning on helping anyone post prison? Not a fan of early parole. Would he agree to early release of those he arrested and testified against? Not likely.
