It has been years since we were compelled to leave our country as a result of a deteriorating economic and political crisis. Today our country is place where human rights are violated and arbitrary detention without due process of law common. Eritrea is ruled by a cabal who has little regard for the rule of law, hence for the incarceration of tens of thousands in 300 detention centers. Israel is one of the countries which has been welcoming Eritrean refugees understanding their predicament. We came to Israel escaping intolerable levels of repression and human rights violations in our country. However, we are now concerned to learn that the Government of Israel is in preparation to implement a policy which forces asylum seekers to remain in prison camps for three years or to forcibly return them to their country of origin. We are also psychologically depressed by the prolonged stay in prisons. We implore government organs in Israel to find a solution to our predicament. If the Government of Israel cannot find a solution to our problem, we kindly appeal to the European Union, The United States, and the organs of the United Nations involved in human resettlement to intervene on our behalf and end our suffering

This is just wrong. Everyone deserves to live somewhere safe without the threat of prison just for existing. Have a heart.

It is sad that the world ignores what is happening to these refugees. They need real help not prison cells.

These people are fleeing torture and death. Sending them back is basically a death sentence. STOP THIS NOW.
