We sign this petition of our own freewill. We assert that the defendant Jerald Lamonte Calhoun II is of sound character and no history of being violent. So we the community ask for leniency and request with all due respect that court allows Jerald Lamonte Calhoun II be allowed to withdraw his guilty plea in exchange for deferred adjudication and his charges be formally dismissed with prejudice. We see no reason to hold a man who is not violent hostage to unjust restrictions after his deferred adjudication comes to an end. We the people ask the Honorable Judge Ramona Franklin of the 338th District Court to grant us the formal request. Jerald Lamonte Calhoun II is rehabilitated and recognizes his faults and has taken responsibility for his actions. And see in light of the circumstances donot see reason to continue punsihment after Jerald Lamonte Calhoun II has served his term he should be able to live his life with the alienable rights that every human being is born with.
