Appeal to Correct History and Repair Hearts

WHEREAS, the United Nations General Assembly gathered on November 29, 1947, and

WHEREAS, the sole subject for discussion was Resolution 181, popularly known as the Partition of Mandate Palestine, and

WHEREAS, a majority of 33 nations endorsed the creation of two states, existing side by side, one Arab, the other Jewish, and

WHEREAS, 10 nations abstained, and

WHEREAS, 13 nations opposed the motion to bring forth the birth of the Third Commonwealth in a modern Jewish State, and

WHEREAS, Greece, the country which experienced upward of 87% of its Jews in the recent Holocaust, and

WHEREAS, Greece was the lone European and Christian nation to join 12 other Arab and Muslim nations to vote against the resolution, we, the undersigned have

RESOLVE, to demand that the Greek government, even 70 years later, recant that decision, and vote, and, we further

RESOLVE, that Greece issue a suitable apology to Israel, and the Jewish People, asserting its own

RESOLUTION, to cede its place as the foremost European nation whose 67% of population is afflicted with corrosive Anti-Semitism, as finally we, the undersigned

RESOLVE to broadly hail the Greek government's belated action to correct the historic record, and help mend the trauma of humanity's most heinous crime, and one of its most unwelcome, unintended consequences.
