This is in direct opposition to the purpose of the provincial Agricultural Land Reserve, the Metro Vancouver Regional Growth Strategy and Langley Township's Sustainability Charter. There is absolutely no reason this exclusion should even be considered.

What is wrong with "country surroundings' ? We love the green fields and mountain views that we have been use too moving here twenty six years ago and enjoy and love the country feeling and the scenery when looking out my kitchen window. People here like the green space, we don't need roof tops for a scenery, that will spoil the country feeling and the happiness of living in Aldergrove.

Developers do not consider the repercussions when changing from ALR to high density as already stated in this petition. Aldergrove is a diamond in the rough, once changed we can never go back. We have lived in this area for over 30 years and we don't want to become another Willoughby slope, Yorkson Creek area, where they continue to have problems arising from high density, poor planning. Leave this property to be used for agriculture for future generations!

The land sitting empty for a number year is not an excuse to now sell it off to the developers lurking in the background. The lower mainland has one of the highest population growth and protecting our ALR land is in the best interest for all for the long term. Anything else is short sighted. It is time to start building up as they have done for years in Europe and East Asia. Leave the ALR land alone. It is there for a reason. Sell it to the next generation farmer that sees the potential in the future. Our food supply is shrinking.

place the focus on development where it should be to the benefit of the core and community, not the pockets of developers who take no consideration to impact on infrastructure

When we purchased our property 26 years ago, it was the green space, the wild animals and the view of the mountains that gave us the feeling of peace and wildlife preservation in Aldergrove. Years later now, the view and noise of truck traffic & speeding cars along 16th. Ave is formidable. We bought in ALR for a reason and totally support the rejection of any non-ALR development along 264th and in any other ALR district. Consider protecting the precious Community of Aldergrove and resist the allure of grandiose development schemes. We will never be the same should this development go through. Big picture folks !

I have been working in agriculture for 12 years to feed my family. We need to stop converting farm land for industrial use. Agriculture feeds a lot of families in this area.

Parkside Elementary cannot handle an increase in student enrollment. The roads in the area cannot handle the increase in traffic either. The downtown core needs immediate attention and upgrades first.
