My daughter is in Kindergarten at Page and we couldn't have asked for a better introduction to school. Ms. Brown has been exceptional and deserves to continue to serve the students and community at Page.

Ms. Brown is very visible in the school. As a parent volunteer, I have personally seen her attentively listing to a child to hear his concerns.
She has made many changes in the school that has helped. For example, the town hall meeting is now every four weeks (instead of every two weeks). This allows both the parents to attend most of the town hall meetings. It has also reduced the time students have spent outside of class, not learning.
Under Ms. Brown, the school's website is updated much more frequently. The twitter account is updated much more frequently.
The bottom line is that she is visible, and the school under her leadership has done a demonstratively better job of communicating to the parents.

Ms. Brown is approachable and down to earth. My daughter has seen much improvement in student morale since she came to Page, and I have also noticed an improvement in teacher morale.

This is our 5th or 6th (permanent or interim) principal in almost as many years. Though my oldest will be gone next year & my twins only have 1 more year I would be remiss if I didn't put my vote in for Ms. Brown for my nephew and the rest of the Page children. She is a personable, no-nonsense, fair, patient, approachable & open minded leader. She fit into the Page culture effortlessly. I believe she is a perfect match. No to mention these kids don't need yet ANOTHER change.

Ms. Brown has been a wonderful addition to our Page Community. We need her skills and knowledge of the surrounding community to keep our children engaged and safe while in and of out of school. She keeps the Parent community informed and engaged with her live twitter feeds during the school day and during events and also with her weekly and mid-weekly Connect Ed calls.. She gave us hope and confidence that she will continue to achieve the goals not only of MCPS but also the goals of the Teachers, Staff, Students and Community.
