This would help benefit those whose interestd are in tennis and those already in tennis. It can bring in more revenue for Platte County High School since the courts would be big enough for a home game.

Tennis is an extremely important sport and you must have tennis courts to not only improve the school, community, and summer rec programs. If you only do it for the school alone its important but the other factors for improvement of the community.

Way overdue for new tennis courts. Our tennis program is a success and it'd be nice seeing them with a good court to practice on.

Speaking for all the men in the past that have played tennis at Platte County, we deserve these courts. We have come such a far way from not as popular to people quitting baseball to come play tennis.

Since moving to the Platte County School District 10 years ago, I have seen many expertly led sports and extra-curricular programs that have empowered and helped to grow outstanding young adults. Tennis is no exception. I personally know some of the young players that have come from this program. They are hard workers and have enjoyed every minute of what they have accomplished through excellent coaching. I know Coach Nutt a little better than Coach Stubbs, but they are both leaders who are passionate about the students they teach and what they teach. However, everyone knows that when you have the proper tools and environment to perform a job, it improves the probability for success dramatically. This facility would attract people from the community as well as new students to join the program. Since we would have an adequate place to host competitions, it would also help bring in revenue to support the district and program. Along with other great programs and facilities already established, it will also improve the Platte County School District's attractiveness to people who are looking for a new place to call home. In the words of a movie, "If you build it, they will come". If we call ourselves Pirates with Pride, then let us make it so!

Platte City needs some tennis courts. Construction should starts ASAP. Especially, if they project doesn't cost anything!!

I have been a high school coach in the area for the past 11-years. I have seen the Platte County Tennis Program fromcan't think of a single program th beginning. The PTC Tennis Program is a program that has ALWAYS represented their school with class and dignity on-and-off the court. They deserve a place they can call "home" when it comes to their tennis program. The sky is the limit for this program. Lets get them a facility that they can call home.

The KC area, and, in particular, the schools...always need tennis courts in great shape. They are a great value to the school and the community!

After being a part of the Platte County Tennis Program for 3 years and also coaching overseas for over 3 years and seeing countless tennis players and programs, I have yet to find a program that rivals the one in Platte County. While I would love to say that one of the reasons I've found PC's program to be so amazing is partly due to the nice facilities and equipment we have, it is most certainly not. In the first few years we had to pay/raise money for uniforms, equipment, and even gas money for the buses that transported us to every away match we had (every match is an away match when you don't have courts).What makes PC great is the dedication and investment given by the coaching staff and the camaraderie found within the team. My life is forever changed and I wouldn't be the same tennis player, and more importantly the same man without the investment the Coach Keith and Coach Nutt made into me and the rest of the team. They have gone above and beyond the last 10 years to not only develop great players, but great people.
These tennis courts are long overdue, well deserved, and would be a crowning jewel to our tennis program. There are probably no other sporting programs in the entire state that have produced state-qualifying athletes that literally don't have their own place to actually compete (or practice really).
Lets do it!

Not much of a tennis fan but the fact that we don't have home tennis courts for such a successful program is pretty embarrassing.
