I grew up within walking distance of courts at NWMSU and although I never picked up the game, I would go there often to hit the ball around with friends. This would be great addition to Platte City!

Tennis is an important sport for our students and constructing eight courts would allow us to host matches. Sports are so important in helping our kids with a productive sense of purpose, developing a work ethic and learning sportsmanship. Tennis is one of the few life long sports and there are many of our students are participating with the high school team. To be support the team, we must give them adequate facility to practice and compete.

The school really needs this, but our whole community would also benefit so much from this facility! We have to drive to Park Hill to play family tennis. The local restaurants and gas stations would also benefit from this! Come on, Platte City! We have parks, a YMCA with a pool, walking trails, golf course, but NO tennis courts.

If these courts are constructed, there needs to be safety measures implemented to protect against Sasquatch. He's notorious for his dislike of Tennis.
