There are so many reason why CCSS are not good for NC or any other state for that matter. Please get rid of it....no renaming.

Teachers are not given the latitude to work with children with special needs (learning methods that are different than the average student). They are too busy meeting set deadlines to keep up with Common Core goal dates. I have an AIG student who is suffering with failing grades because of this. Learning disabilities in an intelligent 5th grade student aren't a challenge--they are an irritant to the teacher. What happened to "no student left behind?" A brilliant child who is failing because he doesn't fit the Common Core standards. How sad.

No games; no renaming. Renounce Race to the Top and remove the compliance language from NC general statutes. No data mining on our children; no mandates for national standards testing; no ACT alignment mandates. Do your Constitutional duty and get NC out of this unconstitutional Federal overreach into NC's classrooms!

common core is terrible. My kids are so frustrated, they HATE school! Kids should enjoy going to school and learning. They are overloaded with homework and class assignments. Its all about TEST, TEST, TEST! The teachers are behind other classes, so in order to catch up, the kids suffer by having to cram multiple assignments at once. Please get rid of common core in NC.

Education was intended to be left to the states, not the federal government. It is not only unconstitutional but is also a shame for the education of our children (which we are to decide) to be sold to the federal government. They allowed the states to experience financial issues then moved in with their funding. Get rid of it while we still can!

GET RID OF COMMON CORE AND SAVE OUR CHILDREN FROM THE PROGRESSIVE IDIOTS WHO CAME UP WITH COMMON CORE THE NAME SAYS IT!!!!!!! ALL CHILDREN ARE COMMON NO DIFFERENCES. DON'T LET OUR CHILDREN BECOME VICTIMS FOR BILL GATES OR OTHERS WHO ARE PUSHING THIS CURRICULUM. FROM MOTHER PROTECTING HER CUBS..BACK-OFF COMMON CORE

This has to be stopped. There is something wrong when you have a child in AIG classes and they are bored.

I have 3 kids in NC public school & all 3 have struggled with Common Core Math since it was put into place. To be completely honest...none of their teachers like it either but they are being FORCED to teach it!
