Petition for Upgrading the Commuter Shuttle Bus Program

In general buses / optimized transport are great - these giant rumbling buses are not. They shake houses as they power up the hills where previously only electric buses ran. Smaller buses please. We no longer have a peaceful living room.

These shuttles are clogging traffic and neighborhood streets. The city should make them pay BIG if they want to continue here.

These buses are clunky, dangerous, slow everything down and create a nuisance in the neighborhood.

This is the right idea - the shuttles are great but they can be better scheduled, positioned, managed, etc so the impact is not so concentrated.

The buses are much too big for the number of people being transported. And they have routes that are already narrow and congested, like 24th St. in Noe Valley.

Bring back Our quite neighborhood

These buses are too big for our neighorhood streets.

I live near Potrero and 17th and these buses clog the streets, double park and prohibit buses and regular commuters from traveling at a decent speed. Why cater to these tech elitists?

I think the shuttle buses are a much better alternative than clogging up the roads with cars. Its a pain but not as bad as it could be. I'm for the buses and I am fine if we need more to accommodate the commuters

These busses are out of control. I live near South Van Ness and 24th and I would like to see a cap on the amount of busses. They should pick up at Transit hubs, not in our neighborhoods.

These company commuters should consider taking the train and requesting shuttles from the train station to company location.

Make the Greyhound-sized buses follow Greyhound rules - pick up passengers only at a transit hub. The are not taxis! The city infrastructure and neighborhoods were not designed for this!!

We constantly have the busses pull into our driveway and idol. Their lights are blasting into our house and the noise shakes the windows. The lights also blast into every first floor restaurant or home as they stop or turn. They congest our neighborhoods. If they stayed on the main corridors it might be better. Can't people walk to the main streets for these? Do they really have to be picked up at every couple of blocks?

These busses suck! And should be free to everyone

The tech buses should be the same size as muni buses. Having techies literally looking down on their follow citizens waiting for the tech bus to yield space to the muni bus does not reflect well on the City of St. Francis.

The tech busses are a sign and symbol of priveledge. They shouldn't be permitted at all on city streets. I have lived in the city for 16 years and am finally at a point in my career that I should be able to afford to buy a home for me and my family. SF's desire to pad its own pockets with Tech Shuttle money inhibits middle class hard working families from being able to survive here. Thousands of people have to commute each day, but only 1% have the priveledge and luxury of riding on a cushy bus that allows them the luxury of settling in this now over priced city that is losing its soul to greed. Sad middle class resident trying to raise a child here but at a tipping point which will likely cause us, like many other friends, to leave.

Not respectful of natural flow. Artificial controls destroy sustainability. Let's let the chips fall including for the companies.

The over sized buses have no place on residential streets. These buses only create noise, pollution and congestion.

In addition to addressing the negative environmental and safety impacts, please also strongly address issues of displacement of long time residents due to increased and disproportionate rates of evictions near bus stops and routes. Please also encourage the employers of the commuters to support housing and other efforts to have their employees live closer to their place of employment.
