This needs to be extended to Instructors who will accuse of plagiarism and fail to provide details of their claims. Even when you email the Instructor to provide the details, they will not provide anything, and leave the low grade as it is.
It's important that this issue be raised in questions to the President Shai Reshef at the opening of the year.

This is an extremely important discussion. I was once graded less than 50 and another classmate graded the same paper 90 which bring my overall to 63. My professor reviewed the paper and my overall went up to 90+. This has to stop. We worked hard to put this assignment together and it should be marked fairly.

University should warning all of us with FAIL subject if any of us give UNFAIR grading to the peer assessment. It’s psychologically affecting mental health and demotivating to study. Thank you!

This is truly a concern. I have witnessed random grading simply so that the student can fulfill his course obligations. They do so without bothering to read the work or without giving proper feedback. This aspect of the University is definitely a concern and may deter future students or dismay current ones causing them to leave. This is a constant discussion in all forums I am on. Please find a way to solve this.

I agree. U was also unfairly assessed by my peers and when I contacted my instructor he assessed me 10 where they assessed me 5.7. I was furious. He admit they graded me too low.

If there must be peer assessment, it shouldn't be added to our grades. UoPeople grading system is already on the high side....students have proven incompetent in this peer assessment. Thanks.

I have spent hours grading assignments for peers to give open and honest feedback, only to open my grades on Any give Thursday and receive blank comment field with a 7/10, or an arbitrary “it is fine” with a 6/10 for the content of my paper. Some of the comments are so rude, I don’t know if I would prefer they be sparse! Sometimes, we only get 2 folks grading, and in my case I had a 90 and a 63 as the scores, the average is below 80 and that is a tremendous disparity! And we have professors saying that scores won’t change, don’t email. But the professor doesn’t see our work and the unfair comments and grades offered. It is luck of the draw who will see our paper and how they will feel about it, or if they will take the time. Different people grading each week, it doesn’t allow for our progress as students to be seen by an instructor or the same person to review if we are taking suggestions into consideration. At this level, a graduate assistant could consistently grade papers to ensure the same eyes are reading the work through the term. I truly love the university and online format, however the peer reviews paper is the one aspect that is consistently unfair and impossible to overcome no matter how perfect we make our written work. It is such a big portion of our grade as well, and it feels out of control even for the most serious and dedicated students.
