It would also benefit to lower on Park Terrace on the other side of Lauderdale. Traffic consistently exceeds 35 there as well.

My children are not able to leave our cul-de-sac in Huntwick because crossing Park Terrace at Huntwick is risking your life. They cannot walk or ride their bikes to the swimming pool in the summertime because of the danger. PLEASE help us avoid the inevitable death of a pedestrian along the curved portion of Park Terrace from Three Chopt Road to Lockport.

The speed limit has long since needed to be lowered. With the pedestrians, kids or pets, the area is not safe with vehicles traveling 40+ miles per hour, which they do when the speed limit is 35.

Lowering and enforcing the speed limit on Park Terrace, perhaps also adding pedestrian-activated flashing lights on the existing (but essentially ignored by motorists) pedestrian crossing signs, would go a long towards making it safer for all residents to cross Park Terrace in order to use the Wellesley walking path, for students to walk to and from their Henrico County-mandated bus stops, and for cyclists and joggers who use the roadway.

Happy to hear that soemthing is being done about the traffic on park terrace. I used to take my kids around the lake which you have to cross over park terrace. It had become to dangerous with the speeding cars to cross over.
