Jonathan Sholar began his 1 year sentence on September 15th, 2017. Prior to this date Jonathan had proven to be a valuable contributor to the community around him. I have spent this week drafting formal requests for review addressed to the relevant oversight board. These documents rely on the testimonials provided in these comments to highlight Jonathan's record of community contributions.

The growth in support for this petition has gained the attention of several local legal advocacy groups. I am currently scheduling meetings with their coordinators to finalize our strategy for presenting these signatures to the parole board.

Jonathon is no threat to society. Keeping him in prison is a waste of taxpayer money. He will be a productive member of his community once released.
Jonathan is a young man who was well on his way to being a successful coach and mentor. He is also someone I call a friend. The fact that he continues to teach and contribute to others growth shows his character. He has already done more time than he should have.
Jonathan coached my grandson in baseball. He was highly respected by my grandson, husband & myself. He expected the kids to keep good grades, stay focus on goals, to achieve to be the best they can be & shared fellowship of our Lord. He was a very positive & strong male influence for my grandson.
Jonathan is a great young man that is programmed to always follow the rules. Never even a speeding ticket. Knowing and seeing all the information I know that he is that small percent that is innocent. He sacrificed personal financial gain to make ad difference in the community. He has a wife and family that needs him and is great contributing member of society.
Jonathan has been known to me only as a polite, intelligent young man. He played ball with my son through the years and was always hard-working and we’ll-mannered in any contact I had with him. His courtesy and maturity made him a leader among his peers.

I remember when this sweet boy was born! Little did we know he would face the fight of his life against cancer AND BEAT IT some 20 years later!! He knows life is precious and he is here for a reason and a purpose! Please release him so he can continue to fulfill that purpose!!!
