I feel that the ATP is really missing a trick by not broadcasting the doubles format of the game, I mean there is numerous marketable and exciting doubles specialists including the Bryan Twins, Peya/Soares, Fleming/Hutchings, Huey/Inglot, Fyrstenberg/Matkowski and the Indo/Pak Express. I don't see why the ATP can't promote these teams as big stars and draw even more people to the game and it's not like there isn't interest in the format already, I always see plenty of fans complaining on Twitter that there is not enough doubles coverage!

I also feel that the ATP is disrespecting these doubles players by not televising their matches. They are doing there job and doing a good job of it, so I see no reason why they shouldn't be treated the same way as the singles players. I also find it very annoying that they will show doubles if two big singles players decide to play the format at a tournament e.g. Federer/Wawrinka but still overlook the doubles specialists's matches at the tournament. In fact even Roger Federer believes doubles has an importance to the game. After his 1st round doubles match at Indian Wells 2014 he stated "Doubles is a very important part of our game." His comment really does speak volumes, in my opinion.
So, what can we to do to convince the ATP to broadcast more doubles matches? Well, it's simple, show them that even without any TV coverage doubles is still a very popular format in the game. Tweet about your favourite doubles players, raise the profile of the game as much as you can and of course if you attend ATP tournaments at any point make sure to watch some doubles.

Please sign this petition and spread it to as many Tennis fans as you can. Heck, get people who aren't even interested in the sport to sign it. Maybe when the ATP realise how popular the format is, they will do something about it.
