Dear Northside Members,

With the sudden resignation of Dr. Vail, we find ourselves in the position of needing to make some urgent decisions. As we learned from a similar experience with our last pastor resignation, there are some critical issues that need to be addressed sooner rather than later in this circumstance, so as to preserve the well-being of our church.

A request was made to the deacons today, for an emergency meeting sometime in the next few days, but it was denied. Our By-Laws state, on page 13, that a special business meeting may be called with a written petition signed by 15% of eligible members. If you agree to the importance of having an urgent meeting in days, rather than weeks, so as to discuss issues that could drastically affect our church, please consider signing this petition to protect our church family.

We propose this meeting to be this Sunday, July 12 at 2PM.

IMPORTANT: In order to preserve the privacy of our church business, please do NOT post this link on Facebook or any other social media. However feel free to pass this email along to anyone you feel may agree with the need for a special business meeting.

WE NEED TRANSPARENCY. Stop hiding behind the by-laws and let the members have their say.

Why are they so afraid of us meeting? It feels like they have something to hide.

The deacons are moving way to slow on this. We have serious questions that need answers right now before things get worse.
