Medical malpractice accounts for over 200,000 deaths per year. Patients should always have someone that loves and cares for them looking out for them.

The guidelines for Covid-19, which prevent a parent, child, or guardian from being by the side of their loved one, is an inhumane and cruel practice. No one should be alone when they need their family the most.

My mom is in a nursing home and she cries everyday to see her family . Her health is going down hill every day and we are missing these days to be with her.

Also.. Moms should be able to have their husbands at their prenatal appts. Can you imagine being told you lost your baby and having to take that in alone and then go and tell the father?! If the waterpark and restaurants can have people together then Dads should be allowed at their prenatal appts and Ultrasounds!!

As a nurse, I believe we need to move beyond the drastic measures of NO family member with a patient with any diagnosis. Test that family member, mask and gown if needed, and let them stay with their loved one. This rule has done much more harm than good!

There have been times when I have questioned orders from doctors dealing with my dad. More than once, I was right. Everyone needs someone there on their behalf!

I understand the severity of the vivid pandemic but at the same time I know that family members who are hospitalized are scared and alone. I signed this petition because I believe with all sincerity that at least a family member should be able to be with adult patients whether in the ER or inpatient. There can be a proper protocol put in place so that people will not have to heal, suffer or die alone.

There is no way of knowing that they are receiving the adequate care that they deserve without loved ones being allowed to check up on them. I know this firsthand when my mom was in the nursing home. Praying for this nonsense to cease and praying for families

I truly feel that is, indeed, one of the cruelest things that can be done. Bryan Taunton and family, my heart is broken for you all. I'm terrified of my mother's follow up appointment after her recent hospital stay. I'm afraid she'll be hospitalized again without my ability to visit.

There needs to be a change in this area.
Thank you
Please lift these rules.
